Conference venue Sep 19th-20th
This year’s conference will take place at the German Primate Center in Göttingen. To get there, buses can be used from various stops in the city centre. Buses 21, 22, 23 stop within walking distance of the DPZ at the Kellnerweg stop. A bus network map is available here: https://netz.goevb.de/#
If you are travelling by car, please follow the directions on https://www.dpz.eu/en/contact/map.html
Taxis and are available from the train station, the theatre, the old town hall and other places in the city center, as well as on call, Tel.: 0551 69300. Puk minicar is an alternative to taxis, Tel.: 0551 484848. Uber is not available in Göttingen.
If you are feeling brave enough and prefer a modern form of travel, there are e-scooters all over the city provided by Yoio https://yoio.app/ or Bolt https://bolt.eu/en-de/cities/gottingen/.
Icebreaker Sep 18th, 6pm-9pm
Dear participants of the conference, please note: Included in the registration fee, there will be an icebreaker party on the roof terrace of Hotel FREIgeist Nordstadt with drinks and snacks on the evening before the conference, Wednesday, September 18th 2024, 6pm-9pm. We look forward to your participation and a nice evening to get to know each other or to meet old friends and colleagues. Important: Please make sure that you visit the FREIgeist Nordstadt, not the FREIgeist hotel near Göttingen railway station.
Conference dinner Sep 19th
Conference dinner will take place at Burghotel Hardenberg, 20 min from Goettingen https://www.hardenberg-burghotel.de/en/ . There will be private bus transport from DPZ and back to the city center via DPZ included in the conference fee. Before dinner, we have organized a guided tour of the Hardenberg distillery, est. 1700, where we can experience the process of manufacturing high quality spirits https://hardenbergdistillery.com/ .
